Nina Stössinger is a senior type designer at Frere-Jones Type, has served on the Board of Directors of the Type Directors Club and teaches type design at the Yale School of Art. After studying multi-media design at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art Halle in Germany and type design at the Zurich University of the Arts, Nina graduated with an MA from Type and Media at the Royal Academy of Art in the Hague in 2016.Howell, n.d.

Nordvest was released with Monokrom in 2017.The design was intially named Mica. Nina also made contributions to Sindre Bremnes’ Satyr.
