The architect Georg Fredrik Fasting submitted his drawings for the competition to design a new public phone booth announced by Oslo Telefonanlegg in 1932. His winning design, Riks, would become an icon of Scandinavian Functionalist architecture, following only two years after Svenska Slöjdföreningen’s influential 1930 Stockholm exhibition.
