Oktyabrina Voronova’s Я̄лла (Жизнь) is the first poetry book published in the Ter Sámi language. The english translation of the title reads “Jalla (Life)”.

The book uses an alternate form of “ҏ” – the Cyrillic letter er with tick. It looks similar to the letter “ᶈ”, formerly used in the International Phonetic Alphabet, only with its hook attached to the descender instead of the bowl.
