Fabric Sans is an unassuming straight-sided grotesk. The design is guided by the interplay of apertures and letterspacing – a low-contrast typeface with high-contrast whitespace, hiding a radiant texture in plain sight. Fabric Sans is at once familiar and novel. Pitted against aggressive counters, the classic letterforms are charged with vibrant animation.
The Fabric Collection is conceived as an overarching concept. Sans and Serif share the same structural foundation: curve tension, energy, rhythm and metrics, but deviate in morphology and detailing. This means they can combine inline without falling flat, but also tie a common thread through a complex typographical hierarchy.
